# Why companies use Dapping

> What a Web3 company gets from Dapping: a verified hub, attestations only you can issue, and candidates who arrive carrying proof another company confirmed.

Web3 verifies everything except the people in it. What the network does, what it costs, and how much code ships are all well measured. Who did the work is still self-reported.

In an industry built on not having to trust anyone, that is backwards, and it is expensive. Every hire, every grant decision, and every partnership starts by trying to confirm claims that arrive with nobody's name attached to them.

## What Dapping does about it

Dapping is professional trust infrastructure for Web3: builders, companies, products, and opportunities on one graph, where the claims that matter carry the identity of whoever stands behind them. Your part is three steps.

1. **Verify your hub.** Prove you control your company's X account and email domain. It is free on every plan, and everything below depends on it.
2. **Confirm what only you can.** Attest the roles your people hold and the campaigns they took part in. No other party is in a position to, and nobody can buy one from you.
3. **Read what other companies confirmed.** Candidates, grantees, and the builders in your ecosystem arrive carrying attestations from the companies that employed them or ran the programs they joined.

Step three is why step two is worth an afternoon. The proof you issue is what the next company reads; the proof they issued is what you read.

## What your company gets

* **A verified hub.** One official home for your team, products, programs, and open roles. Every listing you publish inherits its credibility, and verification is free on every plan.
* **Hiring signals you can check.** Candidates arrive with roles their employers confirmed, credited products, attestations from organizers, and Karma built from independent proof.
* **A record only you can write.** Nobody can buy an attestation from your company. Builders carry the ones you issue, and other companies read them.
* **Community standing with published rules.** A board ranks the builders around your ecosystem and shows exactly what it measures, and the one lever you hold over an individual, bonus XP, is visible to them with your reason attached.

Recruiters and talent partners start from [Talent Portal](/help/companies/use-talent-portal-to-find-and-contact-builders). For the click-by-click version of any of these, the Help Center carries [a checklist for companies](/help/getting-started/start-here-for-companies).

Paid plans buy instruments, never standing: no plan moves your Karma, your verification, a board position, or a review. [What your money never buys](/for-companies/what-your-money-never-buys) is the full line.

## Where to start

Claim your hub and verify it. Everything above hangs off that one identity, verification is free on every plan, and it is the step that turns your listings, your attestations, and your team's proof into something a stranger can check.

Read [how proof works](/for-companies/the-proof-model) first if you want the full accounting of what each signal certifies and where it stops.
