# Protect your account and wallet from fake support and impersonation

> Recognize fake support, protect wallet authority, and report an impersonator without exposing more information.

<Warning>
  Dapping support will never ask for a password, verification code, seed phrase, private key, wallet
  transfer, or unexpected signature.

## How to recognize real Dapping support

The one official support address is **[support@dapp.ing](mailto:support@dapp.ing)**, and the only official Telegram account is [t.me/dappingHQ](https://t.me/dappingHQ), linked from the footer of every Dapping page. Reach it from that footer link rather than from a handle someone sends you: any other address or account claiming to be Dapping support is an impersonation, however close the name looks. Dapping publishes what support will and will not ask for at [dapp.ing/security](https://dapp.ing/security); compare any request against that page.

Reach support by writing to that address yourself. If a message claims to be support, treat it as unverified until you confirm it through the address above.

## Before you act on an unsolicited message

* Open Dapping directly rather than following a link you were sent.
* Inspect the full profile, its company context, its handle, and its official links. A name, logo, badge, or Karma score alone is not identity. See [verification badges and Karma](/help/profiles/understand-verification-badges-and-karma) for what each signal actually proves.
* Read every wallet prompt in full. Reject a signature, transaction, network change, or token approval you did not start and do not understand.
* Decline requests to install remote-access software or to move assets to a "safe" wallet. No legitimate support process needs either.

## If you think you interacted with an impersonator

1. Stop responding and reject any unfinished wallet or provider prompt.
2. Open the conversation menu and select **Block user**.
3. Select **Report** on the profile, company, project, listing, or conversation. Choose the reason that matches: **Fake support or admin account**, **Impersonation**, **Phishing or wallet drain link**, or **Fake airdrop or token claim**.
4. Keep safe evidence: Dapping URLs, transaction hashes, public addresses, and screenshots with secrets removed.
5. If a wallet or login provider may be compromised, use that provider's official recovery process. Dapping cannot recover keys, reverse transactions, or revoke approvals on your behalf.

Do not put secrets, identity documents, session data, or verification codes into a report. When funds or wallet authority are at risk, the provider's response process comes first and the Dapping report second.
