# Write useful product reviews and participate in comments

> Share your product experience and update or remove your review later.

Reviews record firsthand experience with a product. Comments are a separate discussion feature that lives on opportunities and events.

## Write a product review

1. Open the product profile and choose the review action.
2. Select a rating from 1 to 5 and describe what you actually used.
3. Name the version, network, or workflow when it changes the meaning.
4. Submit. You can hold one review per product.

Reviews exist on products only. Companies, opportunities, events, and profiles do not accept them.

You can edit your review at any time, with no cutoff. Deleting is permanent: a placeholder stays in place of the text for everyone including you, and there is no undo. A removed review stops counting toward the product rating.

Other people can mark your review helpful. Someone from the product team or its company may post one response, and you are notified when they do. Their response carries an Owner, Admin, or Member label computed at the moment the page loads, so it disappears if the person leaves the company.

## Where comments appear

Comments are available on jobs, grants, bounties, hackathons, accelerators, and events. Product pages and event calendar pages do not have a comment thread.

You can reply, like, and report. The publisher can pin one comment. Comments are plain text, so markup is shown rather than rendered. You can edit your own comment at any time; deleting leaves a placeholder so replies stay readable, and you cannot reply to a removed comment.

## Disclose relationships

If you work for the product, invested in it, received sponsorship, or helped build it, say so in the review. Helpful votes and owner responses add context. Neither one makes a review correct.
