Open the profile, company, or project behind a signal to see what supports it. ## Profile verification A verified profile badge cannot be bought. It is earned when an active account builds enough credible proof across multiple signals, such as a complete proof page, verified contact details, connected professional accounts, verified experience, and genuine participation. No single field, payment, connection, or activity guarantees verification. The badge confirms that the account met dApp.ing's verification requirements when reviewed. It does not endorse every claim made by the person. ## Experience and company proof Experience proof applies to a specific role claim. Company verification indicates that dApp.ing reviewed evidence connecting a hub to an official organization. Neither means every statement, product, employee, or opportunity is endorsed. ## Karma Karma reflects four visible parts of a member's participation: proof, contribution, trust, and momentum. It gives other people useful context about how complete, active, and supported a profile is. It is not a verdict on the person, and dApp.ing does not publish the formula or weights behind it. ## How to improve your Karma * **Build proof.** Complete your profile, verify your contact details and experience, connect relevant professional accounts, and add shipped projects with accurate team credit. * **Make useful contributions.** Write specific dApp reviews and comments, participate in relevant events, publish real work, and help others with firsthand context. * **Earn trust.** Collect specific recommendations, receive genuine skill endorsements, maintain credible professional relationships, and keep your account in good standing. * **Maintain momentum.** Update your profile after shipping work, changing roles, completing a program, or changing availability. Consistent useful activity matters more than a short burst of repetitive actions. Focus on accuracy and quality. Artificial, reciprocal, or low-value activity does not make a profile more credible and may not improve Karma. ## Why Karma matters Karma can help recruiters, founders, ecosystem teams, and other builders interpret a profile alongside its underlying evidence. It can also support discovery in company talent tools, contribute context to match signals, satisfy Karma requirements set for some messages or group invites, and form one part of profile verification. A higher score does not guarantee verification, access, selection, employment, funding, or a reply. Open the supporting profile, work, and relationships before making a decision. ## Recommendations and endorsements Recommendations are written references. Endorsements attach peer context to skills.
