# Publish a product and manage its team

> Create a product profile and choose the right access for each collaborator.

A product listing is a public product profile, and it is the only type you can publish from your proof page rather than a company hub.

## Create the product

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start the form">
    Open **Publish**, choose your proof page or a company hub, and select **product**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Describe the product">
    Add the name, one-line summary, description, category, stage, links, ecosystems, and media.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Credit the team">
    Add team members only where the person contributed and should receive public credit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit">
    Check the preview and submit. A product appears publicly as soon as it is created.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Team credit is credit, not access

Everyone you add through the create or edit form is recorded as credit only. That field never grants edit rights, whatever role a person holds elsewhere.

Each person you add receives a request and must approve it before the credit becomes public. They answer on their own profile, under **Portfolio**, in the **Team requests** panel. Someone who declines can be invited again later.

Editing rights follow a separate rule. For a product published from a proof page, the creator and any approved owner, admin, or editor on the product can edit it, and the creator or an approved owner or admin can change the team. For a product published from a company hub, the company owners and admins hold both.

Product credit, company membership, and verified professional experience are separate records. Adding someone to a product does not verify their employment.

## Reviews land here

Products are the only entity type on Dapping that receives star ratings and written reviews. As the host you can post one response per review, replace it later, and the reviewer is notified when you do. Comments do not apply to products.

## Troubleshooting

If a teammate is not shown, ask them to check their pending team requests. If editing controls are missing, confirm your approved product role or your company role and the identity you are signed in as.

Keep networks, official product links, and contract details accurate, and update them after a launch, migration, rebrand, or ownership change.
