First: what a second party confirmed
Open the Experience tab and read the label beside each role, not the role.
Two things worth knowing before you weigh them. The label covers one role, not the profile. A candidate with one attested role and four self-attested ones has one confirmed role. And an attested role at a company the candidate controls reads as self-attested, so a founder cannot vouch for themselves into independent proof.
Second: what you can open
Portfolio projects with accepted team credit are attached to the person by someone else on that team, not asserted. Follow the links. A repository, a live product, or a deployed contract tells you more in two minutes than any description of it. Participation attestations are issued by organizers of hackathons, grants, and programs, and they record that the person took part, with an outcome of participant or winner. A winner outcome is that organizer’s decision, not an independent assessment of the work. Published writing and community board standing round out how someone works with other people.Third: what they wrote
Headline, About, skills, and self-entered roles are the candidate’s own account. That is not worthless, it is just a different kind of thing, and it is the part a resume already gave you. What the Karma tier is for
Karma summarizes the above so you can triage a list. It is an ordering, not a verdict, and it should never be the reason someone advances or does not. Open the evidence. What the interview is still for
Whether the person is who they say they are, and whether they are right for your role. Dapping runs no identity or background checks, so whatever your process does today to establish a real and eligible person, it still does. How proof works is the full accounting. The rest is the interview, and you get to spend it on the interesting part.Continue on Dapping
