Claim before you create
Your company may already be on Dapping as an unclaimed profile. Claiming it keeps its page, its listings, and its history under your control instead of splitting them across a duplicate. There are three ways in, and any one is enough:- Official X account. Sign in with the company’s X account and ownership transfers on the spot.
- Company email. Receive a code at an address on your company’s own domain. Free mailbox providers and shared publishing domains do not qualify, which is the point: the domain is the proof.
- Support. If neither fits your company, the Dapping team checks it by hand and sets the profile up so you can finish the claim yourself. Write from your company address and name the profile; nobody is left without a route in.
Verify, because everything downstream depends on it
Claiming proves enough to hand you the keys. Verification is the stronger, public statement, and it asks for both proofs: the official X account and a company-domain email. Once both are in place, the hub goes to Dapping review; there is no separate application to fill in. One detail about the email: the address has to be on the domain your people are actually emailed at, not the exact host of your site. A company whose site is at app.example.xyz verifies with an address at example.xyz. The badge is worth the effort because of what it unlocks: your team’s attested roles gain verified badges, you can issue participation attestations for your campaigns, and one-click applications open on your job listings. Verification is free, on every plan, and cannot be purchased. It also stays conditional on the proof behind it. If a later edit invalidates either proof, the badge is revoked rather than carried over, and that includes moving your website to a domain your approved email no longer matches. A verified company also cannot swap its contact address without providing new proof first. That is what stops the badge drifting away from the thing it certifies.Bring in the team deliberately
A hub has exactly one owner and any number of admins. Admins can edit the hub, publish, and act on requests; the owner additionally controls ownership itself and deletion. Handing the owner seat over is a deliberate transfer to someone who is already an admin, so decide early who holds it. Invite people with the least access they need and let the roles do the rest. What done looks like
By the end of the first week: the hub is claimed or created, the profile is complete with logo, description, links, and categories, verification is submitted or approved, the team is invited, and at least one real listing is live. From there, pick the playbook for what you came to do.Then pick your playbook
With a verified hub in place, everything else on this tab becomes available: hiring with proof, attesting your team, running programs, and the paid instruments if you need them. The badge says one thing precisely: this X account and this domain belong to the company on the page. Read it as “this is really them” and nothing further; how proof works carries the rest.Continue on Dapping
