Joining a company workspace does not add or verify a role on your personal profile. Four separate records are involved, and holding one says nothing about the others.

Four different signals

A person may hold one of these without the others. An advisor can be a member without claiming employment, and a former employee can keep verified experience with no current workspace access.

Ask a company to confirm a role

1

Add the experience

Record the role on your personal profile.
2

Link the company

Select the matching company, with accurate dates and title.
3

Request verification

Select Request Verification.
4

Wait for the review

The interface shows where the request stands.
The request lands in the company’s Employee Verification Requests list inside Role Management, where an owner or admin approves or rejects it.

What approval changes

An approved attestation of a role you currently hold also lists you on that company’s People tab. An approved past role is recorded on your profile without changing the People tab. If the backing attestation is later removed or revoked, the People listing goes with it. The public verified badge additionally requires the attesting company to be verified itself. An unverified company can still attest, and the role is recorded, but the badge appears only after Dapping verifies that company. A builder holding attested current roles at more than one verified company chooses which company mark sits beside their name; the choice never adds a company that has not attested them. If the title, company, dates, or other proof-bearing fields change later, verification can reset and require a new review. Confirm the person, title, and dates before approving a request, and update both the company team and the builder’s experience when a role changes.
