Two separate states apply to anything you publish: its own lifecycle state, and a review verdict. Reading both explains why something is or is not publicly visible.
Submission creates a listing immediately, lifecycle state and moderation verdict determine discovery, and seeded-company claiming remains a separate ownership review.

Does anything wait for review

Everything publishes as soon as you submit it, whatever the type. Nothing waits in a queue first. What the review verdict below controls is whether a moderator later keeps it in public discovery.

The review verdict

The verdict is one of three values, and it applies to every type. You are notified of the outcome, with the reviewer’s note where one was left, and by email when the outcome is not an approval. Each type also carries its own lifecycle vocabulary, listed in Listing and publishing states.

Claimable records

Claiming applies to a company hub that Dapping assembled from public sources and that nobody manages yet. The hub shows an invitation to claim it, and the claim moves through pending review, then approved or rejected. You can also withdraw your own claim, and an unresolved claim can expire. Approval carries a consequence worth planning for: every seeded listing attached to that hub transfers with it in one step, and any competing claim on those records is rejected automatically. If you publish alongside a seeded hub, claim the hub rather than the individual entries. Some records cannot be claimed: a hub that already has an owner, a suspended company, or an imported entry that has not yet been matched to a company profile.

What to do next

  1. Open the entry while signed in as its publisher and read the state shown on it.
  2. Correct incomplete facts, broken official links, unclear ownership, duplicated content, or expired dates through the … menu and Edit Listing.
  3. Where a claim or correction path is offered, use it rather than publishing a second copy.
A duplicate rarely resolves a state problem. If you cannot reach the original entry at all, send its URL and your supporting evidence through the feedback portal. Claiming a record does not by itself grant verification.
