A group conversation has one owner, any number of admins, and members. Nobody is added silently: everyone you invite has to accept.

Create a group and invite people

  1. Open Messages, start a new conversation, and choose New group.
  2. Give the group a name and select the people to invite.
  3. Optionally switch on Require minimum karma and choose a level for people joining the group.
  4. Create the group.
Each person you selected receives an invitation. They appear in the group once they accept it from Messages → Requests → Inbox, where the invitation offers Join and Decline. Owners and admins can generate one link from Add members. Choose how long it lasts (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or never), copy it, and share it. The same panel revokes it. A link can stop working for four reasons: it expired, it reached its use limit, an owner or admin revoked it, or the group requires more Karma than the person joining has. Ask an owner or admin for a fresh invitation.

Who can do what

Admins cannot remove another admin or the owner. Removing a member also withdraws any invitation they still had open.

Leaving, transferring, and deleting

Members and admins can leave at any time from the conversation menu. An owner cannot: the app answers “Transfer ownership before leaving the group”, so hand the role to someone else first. Deleting the group is owner-only and removes the conversation and its history for every member, which is different from Clear chat for me, which affects only your own copy. Invite links travel further than intended. Choose a short expiry for anything public, revoke a link once a campaign or event ends, and review the member list afterwards. A group conversation is not a substitute for a confidential applicant or customer system.
