Verification belongs to the exact company, title, and dates that were reviewed. It is removed when those details change, when the evidence does not support them, or when the original confirmation is withdrawn.
Safe experience edits keep proof, claim-defining edits reset it, reset, rejection, revocation, and dispute differ, and only a supported current role may appear on People.

Edits that reset proof

Changing the title, start date, end date, or current-role status changes the claim that was verified. Dapping asks you to confirm with Remove verification? before saving, then clears the proof so you can request a new review. Changing the linked company resets both proof paths at once, because the badge described the previous company and a work-email domain no longer matches. Editing the description, location, skills, or employment type keeps the existing verification.

Waiting on the company

An attestation from a company hub Dapping has not verified is recorded but does not unlock the badge. The entry reads Company attested, waiting for company verification until Dapping verifies that company. Nothing further is required from you.

Rejected requests

A company owner or admin can reject a request when the person, role, or date range cannot be confirmed. Work-email proof can also be rejected when it does not support the role. The rejection reason is shown on the entry. Correct genuine mistakes and submit again only with better evidence.

Revoked verification

A company or Dapping can revoke verification when the earlier confirmation is no longer valid. Recorded reasons include an incorrect claim, wrong role or dates, fraud or impersonation, and a claim that changed after review. Revocation removes the proof label without changing the role details you entered. A role that has simply ended should be updated with an end date instead.

Losing a place on the company team page

A verified current role also lists you on that company’s People tab. A past role is verified but produces no team listing. If the backing attestation is removed by an edit, a deletion, or a company revoke, the team listing goes with it unless another current attested role at the same company still supports it.

Disputed experience

A verified company can dispute a role. While the issue is open, the profile shows Disputed by verified company. Private evidence and review notes are never displayed. Every verification change is recorded in a history trail, so the sequence stays checkable.
