Profile verification
The verified profile badge cannot be bought. Your profile shows the checklist and your progress: an active, unlocked account, a verified email, a connected X account, a connected Discord or GitHub account, a verified experience, a proof page at least 80 percent complete, and a Karma score of at least 450. That experience must be verified by someone else: a role you approved for your own company reads Self-attested and does not qualify. The badge authenticates rather than ranks. It confirms the account met those requirements when last evaluated, not that every claim is true. Company verification works the same way. A gold badge is the Pro form of the same mark: the company is on a paid plan. It also shows beside people whose current role that company attested. It is not a higher grade of verification.Karma

Contribution and momentum are the smallest parts on purpose: they are the easiest to manufacture.
Foundation is capped by the rest: setting up an account well counts, but never more than what you have earned. A complete profile with no proof stays low.
Scores map to six tiers, ascending: New Builder, Active Builder, Credible Builder, Trusted Builder, Proven Builder, Graph Steward. Your own view shows your score, tier, and the five pillars. Others see your score and tier beside the evidence, but the pillar breakdown stays private.
Integrity lowers a ceiling rather than subtracting points
An upheld report, a revoked verification, an open attestation dispute, or an account not in good standing caps how high your Karma can reach. It never subtracts earned points; it only lowers the ceiling. So mass reporting cannot drain your score, and resolving it lifts the cap. Ageing is separate.What ages and what does not
Validation and contribution signals lose weight as they age, so recommendations, endorsements, reviews, and comments count most while current. Proof does not fade on a timer: a verified role or shipped project keeps counting. Momentum is separate, so a dormant account drifts down even while its proof holds.Independence is what counts
Karma weighs independent proof far above volume. Ten endorsements from one team are worth less than two from people who hold proof of their own, a voucher only counts when they do, and a role you approved for yourself is not independent validation. So collect proof from people and companies who are not you, and do not trade endorsements: reciprocal pairs are worth less than either would have been alone.How to read it
Karma helps people read a profile beside its evidence, and some builders set a Karma requirement on messages or group invites. A higher score guarantees nothing: not access, selection, employment, funding, or a reply. Open the supporting work first.
