Gather safe evidence
- The Dapping addresses of every affected record.
- The official website or social account that establishes the authentic identity.
- A short description of the conflicting names, handles, links, branding, or claims.
- Your relationship to the identity, if you have one.
Submit the report
- Sign in. Reports are only accepted from a signed-in account.
- On a profile, select Report profile. On a company or a listing, open the actions menu and select Report.
- Choose Impersonation. There is no duplicate reason, so for a duplicate choose Other.
- Use the details field for the evidence links and the correction you are asking for.
While the report is open
Do not confront the other account or send it further proof of your identity. Keep personal information out of the report beyond what a reviewer needs. A verification badge helps identify the official record, but reviewers still read the evidence. Some near-duplicates are kept apart on purpose, because two people or organizations genuinely share a similar name. If you are authorized to run an unowned but otherwise accurate company record, claim it rather than reporting it.Continue on Dapping
