Manage login methods, connected accounts, wallets, and NFT visibility

Link sign-in methods and wallets, then choose what appears on your profile.

Connections give you more ways to sign in and let you show wallet context on your profile. Whether any of it is public is a separate choice.

Manage your connections

1. Open your own profile and select the settings control.
2. In Profile Settings, choose Connections.
3. Review your linked accounts and wallets.
4. Add an EVM or Solana wallet through the connection flow.
5. Select Sync now if the list does not match the accounts you actually have connected.
6. Open the menu on a wallet and choose Set as primary to pick the one your profile can show.

Your account email

The email row shows the address Dapping uses for notifications, security alerts, and publishing a listing.

If you signed up with X, that address came from your X account, so you already have one and are never asked to add it. It is yours to change.

Select Change on the email row, enter the address you want, and confirm the code sent to it. You may be asked to confirm your identity first, which is your sign-in provider protecting a change to how you get in.

The row shows Change rather than Unlink on purpose: your account email is replaced, not removed, so you are never left without one.

When a connection will not save

A row can say it is connected while a note reports it was not saved to your profile. Two reasons:

• Another Dapping account already uses it. One X, GitHub, Discord, Farcaster, or Telegram account belongs to one Dapping profile. Disconnect it from the other profile first, or use a different account. Selecting Sync now cannot change this.
• The last sync did not finish. Select Sync now to retry.

Sign-in methods versus connections

Not every connection is a way back into your account. Email and X can carry a sign-in, and a wallet can too. Discord, GitHub, Farcaster, and Telegram are connections only: they add professional context and cannot be used to sign in. LinkedIn appears in the list but cannot currently be connected.

Dapping refuses to remove a credential when it is your last remaining way to sign in. Do not rely on that as a plan: keep at least two sign-in methods you can recover through their own providers.

If Connections warns that your account has no working sign-in method, add an email or connect a wallet before you sign out. That warning means your provider no longer holds a credential it will accept, and only you can add one.

Wallets and collectibles

Connecting a wallet proves you control the address. It is not custody, and Dapping never holds your keys. Disconnecting a wallet from Dapping does not move assets, revoke token approvals you already granted, or undo transactions.

Collectibles are read from EVM and Solana wallets. A Bitcoin wallet can stay connected but is not scanned. What appears publicly is controlled under Privacy → Privacy & Visibility with the Primary Wallet and NFT Collection toggles; see profile visibility and notifications for how those interact.

If a connection or wallet is added or removed, Dapping emails you about it. That alert cannot be switched off, so read it when it arrives, and if you did not make the change, follow protect your account and wallet.
