You can add professional experience without verifying it. Adding a role never requests verification on its own, so nothing is reviewed until you ask.
A saved company-linked role can exist before proof, then follow company-attestation states or move from work-email verification to platform review.

Add the role

1

Open your profile

Add an experience.
2

Describe the role

Enter the job title, company, employment type, location, and start date, or mark the role as current.
3

Link the company

Search for the company in the Dapping directory and link it. A free-text company name is allowed, but only a linked company can be verified.
4

Save

Add the skills you used and a description of the work, then save.

Ask the company to attest

Once the entry is saved and linked, use Ask company to attest. Every owner and admin of that company hub is notified and reviews the exact title and date claim. Holding a company invite or a workspace role does not verify employment by itself. If Dapping has not verified that company hub yet, the attestation is still recorded and your role reads Company attested, waiting for company verification. The public verified badge unlocks after Dapping verifies the company.

Verify a work email

Verify work email becomes available when the linked company has an official website on file and Dapping has verified the hub. Enter an address on that company’s domain and confirm the code sent to it. Personal and free email providers are rejected, and the domain must match the company you are claiming, so control of some corporate inbox is not enough. Confirming the code proves you hold the address. Dapping then reviews that proof, and approval upgrades the role from Work email verified to Platform reviewed.

What a visitor sees

Each entry carries the label that matches its strongest proof: Company attested when an independent company confirmed it, Platform reviewed after Dapping accepts work-email proof, Work email verified while that review is open, and Self-attested when the person who approved the role was the same person claiming it. Your work email address is never shown publicly. Verification covers that specific entry. It does not certify every claim on your profile or guarantee the relationship continues today.
