Connect Dev.to
Open the Connections panel on your profile and add your Dev.to username. Dapping confirms the account is yours by checking that your public Dev.to profile lists a GitHub or X account you have already connected on Dapping. No password is involved, and nothing is posted on your behalf. If the check fails, add one of those accounts to your public Dev.to profile and try again.What appears, and when
Your public Dev.to articles are collected automatically and refreshed on a schedule, so a new article can take a little while to appear. Each article shows its title, tags, and publication date, and links to the original. People browsing builders also see a Writing chip on your card when you have visible articles. Every article has its own visibility switch, so you can keep a piece out of your profile without deleting it anywhere. Disconnecting the Dev.to account removes your visible articles and stops new ones from arriving.The same connection also feeds Advocates boards
One Dev.to connection serves two separate things, and they behave differently. Your Writing view is yours: it filters nothing, keeps everything, and belongs to you whether or not you are on anyone’s board. An Advocates board reads the same account but only counts articles tagged with a term that board tracks, over a short rolling window, and only for that company. So an article can sit in your Writing view forever and never score on a board, or score on a board while you keep it hidden from your profile. Published work shows what you write about and how consistently you write. It is displayed evidence, not verification: an article does not carry a verified badge, it is not part of the profile verification checklist, and it does not change your Karma. Readers weigh it the way they would weigh any public writing. That is enough to earn it a place next to your projects and roles.If an article is missing
Check three things: the article is public on Dev.to, your connection is still active in the Connections panel, and enough time has passed for a refresh. If all three hold and the article still does not appear, report it through the feedback portal with the article link.Continue on Dapping
