Dapping carries profiles, proof, discovery, listings, company hubs, and messaging. Several of those hand off to someone else at the moment that matters most, and knowing where the handoff happens saves you asking the wrong party for help.

Where Dapping hands off

  • Money and on-chain actions. Dapping does not hold funds, cannot recover a wallet or its keys, and cannot reverse a blockchain transaction. Once you sign, it is signed.
  • Applications and registrations. When you apply, register, or accept terms, you leave Dapping. The destination decides eligibility, selection, and what happens to your data.
  • Wallets and identity providers. Your wallet or sign-in provider owns its own recovery, so start there when you cannot get in.
  • Selection. Match indicators help you find relevant work; the publisher still decides who is eligible and who moves forward. Dapping verifies a company’s identity, never its conduct as an employer, so read a listing’s terms and the company’s own record before you commit.

How to read what you see

Verification and Karma describe how much of a profile can be independently confirmed, which is a narrower claim than financial standing, security, or fitness to hire. Trust signals and proof labels sets out what each one certifies. Some listings are community-maintained, claimable, under review, or temporarily unavailable, and each says so. Read coverage exactly as it is labeled: a missing profile, project, transaction, or opportunity is not evidence that it never existed. Use official sources for decisions that matter.

When something appears to be missing

Check whether the action needs you to be signed in, to hold an accepted invitation, to be an owner or admin, to be on an approved team, or to wait for a particular listing state. The relevant guide names the requirement. If a workflow is missing or unclear, describe what you were trying to accomplish in the feedback portal. If the step belongs to an organizer, employer, provider, or wallet service, ask them directly.
